Marcia Gay Harden
Marcia Gay Harden is the third of the five brothers born to La Jolla on 14 August 1959. Beverly Bushfield, her mother was a housewife as Thad Harold Harden fought employed in the military. Her family moved frequently. While they were in Greece the family became more interested in theater, and she attended Athens plays. Harden began college in Europe at American colleges and eventually moved to the US to complete her master's degree at University of Texas. In 1983, Harden earned her MFA from NYU. Although she had acted in a film as early as 1986, for the lesser-known The Imagemaker (1986), her first major role, coming alongside some TV film work, was the hot, sultry woman fatale in The Imagemaker, the Coen Brothers' cleverly offbeat tribute to gangster films, Miller's Crossing (1990). Harden received good reviews for her performance in the movie, which was sexy and raunchy as Verna as a stunning, trouble-making moll. Harden was able to continue her steady work as a support actor acting as Ava Gardner in Sinatra (92) which was a biopic made for TV that portrayed Frank Sinatra.
