Awkwafina has been described as an American actor and musician who started her career through smart raps that addressed sexuality and racial identities with an edgy, comical perspective. Then she branched out into Hollywood. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Koreans living from Forest Hills Queens. Her first experience with music came via the trumpet. Also, she received the classical and jazz education later when she began to explore hip-hop as a teenager. In 2018 she was able to land breakthrough roles in a handful of high-profile films such as Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP was released in June.
